Invisalign™ and ClearCorrect™ are innovative, invisible aligners that can straighten teeth in just 9 - 15 months. They can change widely spaced teeth, overcrowding, underbite, overbite, or crossbite. With this advancement there is no headgear, wires, or braces and no mouth irritation. They are removable so brushing and flossing are easy, and you can eat and drink whatever you want during treatment. The best part is they are invisible, so no one will ever know you are straightening your teeth. Approximately every two weeks the patient’s custom-made aligners are changed and with each new aligner, you are closer to your goal of a beautiful smile.

Dental Implants
A
Perfect Smile
Dental implants are the ideal choice in replacing missing teeth. They restore stability for chewing a variety of foods as well as recapturing a full and beautiful smile. They are anchored below your gums and are secure in your mouth, unlike bridges or dentures, which only sit on top of the gums. And because the implant does come through the gums, it looks just like a real tooth. You can have implants for just a few teeth or to replace dentures. Patients who use implants instead of dentures will no longer have to worry about slippage when eating or talking, and implants do not need to be taken out at bedtime. After a surgeon has put a titanium post in place, a customized, natural restoration will be made for you – one that looks and functions just like a real tooth and will blend in with the rest of your teeth.

Sleep Apnea
Is
Snoring Keeping You or Your Spouse
Awake at Night?
If you or someone you know falls asleep in the daytime, snores loudly, or has sporadic breathing while asleep, these may be signs of sleep apnea. Traditionally, the CPAP device has been used to pump air into the patient’s nose and mouth at bedtime. Although the device produces the desired results, due to the discomfort of a bulky mask on the face, they stop wearing it.
Modern dentistry now provides an option with an appliance that fits in the mouth. This small acrylic device fits over lower and upper teeth, similar to retainers for orthodontics. It works by gently realigning your jaw and tongue and opening your airway to receive more air into your lungs to let you sleep soundly the entire night. It is simple to insert and remove the device, clean it, and pack it for travel.
With a success rate of 90% in users, it is a superior alternative to CPAP machines. If you have been diagnosed with this disorder, give us a call today so you can start enjoying a comfortable, sound sleep.

Oral Warning Signs Can Indicate Serious Medical Conditions
Regular dental exams not only help to decrease a patient's risk of oral
diseases, such as cavities and periodontal (gum) disease, but they may also
help to diagnose other, sometimes life-threatening, medical conditions.
Dentists are able to assess a patient's overall oral health and may
recognize symptoms of serious diseases, including diabetes, cancer, and eating
disorders, which often manifest as signs and symptoms inside of the mouth. Click here to learn more.

Halloween Tips
Halloween is around the corner, which for
most children means bags of free candy and a
chance to build up the stockpile
of sweets for the winter. Being one of the most fun times of the year for
families, Halloween can also present parents with a variety of health and
safety challenges.
The
American Dental Association, America's premier source of oral health
information, has prepared a list of 10 suggestions to help parents maintain
good oral health for their children around the Halloween holiday and throughout
the year.
1.
Consume Halloween candy and other sugary foods with meals.
Saliva production increases during meals and helps neutralize acids produced by bacteria in your mouth and helps rinse away food particles.

2.
Avoid hard candy and other sweets that stay in your mouth for a long
time.
Besides how often you snack, the length of time food is in your mouth plays a role in tooth decay. Unless it is a sugar-free product, candies that stay in the mouth for a long period of time subject teeth to prolonged acid attack, increasing the risk for tooth decay.

3.
Avoid sticky candies that cling to your teeth.
The stickier candies, like taffy and gummy bears, take longer to get washed away by saliva, increasing the risk for tooth decay.

Don't Forget to Clean Your Tongue
Your oral health routine should always
include brushing your tongue with your toothbrush or using a tongue scraper,
which you can find in the dental products aisle at the drugstore. That’s
important because foods can get stuck in the grooves of your tongue, causing
bacteria to grow. Other oral
health problems that can develop if you don't
clean your tongue are a bad taste in your mouth, staining on your tongue, and
bad breath, Abayon says.
